Graduated from the University of Illinois in 1950 with a B.S. degree in Aeronautical Engineering and commission as 2nd Lt in U.S. Air Force.
Active duty in USAF from 1951-1953. Earned M.S. and Ph.D. degrees in Aeronautical Engineering from the University of Illinois in 1954 and 1956.
Employed by Lockheed Missiles and Space Co. from 1956-1960.
Joined faculty in School of Aeronautics and Astronautics at Purdue University in 1960. Served as Associated Head for 18 years, Acting Head for 1 ½ years.
Retired 1998.
