He began flying in 1971 as therapy for injuries and arthritis. He began flying professionally 1983 and since then he has served as Chief Pilot in flight schools, Chief Check Pilot and Search Pilot in the Colorado Civil Air Patrol, been a bush pilot in Alaska for three seasons, an instructor for a major airline and has built / restored six different airplanes.
He was designated a “Master CFI” by NAFI in 1999 and a Pilot Examiner by the FAA in 2000.
