Edward Hamilton, my grandfather, died December 7th, 1924. This was over 38 years before I was born, While not much is known about him, I do know that, during WWI, he rose from the rank of Corporal to that of Master Chief Electrician with aerial flight duties, in the Aviation Balloon Section of the Army Signal Corps, I don't know if it was an interest in Aviation that drew him to the observation balloon section, but I do know that his four sons and three of six grandsons all developed various interests of one type or another in aviation. This leads me to believe that, the love of aviation that we in our family possess, is in our "blood".
