    Born in Kingston, Ohio on October 27, 1930. Ed attended Ohio State in Columbus, Ohio. He joined AF in 1953, received flight training and graduated Williams AFB, AZ. From there Ed was assigned to Suwon, Korea (K-13) the 39th Squadron. Flew F-86 until September of 1954. After returning to USA. Ed was stationed at Moody AFB in Georgia as an instructor. After resigning from the AF, he went to work at Eastern Airlines as a pilot in 1956. Flew as a First Officer from Dec. ’56 until 1960 on CV440, Lockheed 1049 Constellation, DC-7B and the L-188 Electra. Joined Flight Test Dept. in 1960 and flew all aircraft EAL owned. Promoted to Captain DC-9 and was made Check Captain and FAA Examiner. Last assignment was Fleet Manager.
