    Edward Chromczak started flying August 1957 in New Jersey and soloed in October 1957. While flying many makes, models and types of aircraft, he earned his Commercial Pilot ratings in airplanes, seaplanes, gliders and helicopters.

    In addition, Mr. Chromczak flight instructed students in airplanes and gliders and was a member of several flying clubs in New Jersey and Connecticut. While in Connecticut in June 2011, he was awarded the Wright Brothers Master Pilot Award by the Federal Aviation Administration, for over 50 years of flying dedicated to promoting aviation safety.
