Commercial pilot, flight instructor, airport manager and aviation insurance business owner. 40+ years (1937-1979) in the aviation industry as chief flight instructor for the U.S. Navy's Civilian Pilot Training Program (1942-44), airport manager at Emporia, Virginia and founder and president of Edward S. Marshall Aviation Insurance Co., Ltd. of Salem, Virginia. Co-founder and long time member of S.E.A.T.A. (Southeastern Aviation Trades Association) and of the Roanoke Valley (Virginia) Airport Commission. Ed Marshall was dedicated to the safety and growth of aviation in Virginia and throughout the Southeast.
