1st Lt Edward W. Cochran is a graduate of M.I.T. 1946. In his junior year, 1943, Ed had to go into the Air Force as he was in ROTC.
After his completion in service he returned to M.I.T. and graduated in 1946 as an aeronautical engineer.
Ed was in the ground maintenance division repairing aircraft during the War -- Miami, Buffalo and Reno.
After graduation at M.I.T. he worked at Glen Martin for 3 years, and then entered his father's insurance agency in 1949.
