Born Akron, Ohio 22 December 1919; Bachelor of Science Mechanical Engineering University of Akron 1942; Master of Science Mechanical Engineering Case Western University 1947; member American Institute of Aeronautical Engineers (AIAA). employed by Goodyear Aerospace Corporation in Akron, Ohio, for 42 years.

During World War II (WWII) worked as Design and Liaison Engineer on the Goodyear F2G Navy Corsair Fighter Program, where more than 4000 aircraft were built. Later held various engineering and management positions at Goodyear Aerospace for such aircraft and defense products as aircraft wheels and brakes, aircraft fuel tanks, aircraft de-icing systems, and many other products produced by Goodyear Aerospace, and have several patents in these areas.

Retired in 1985 from a position as General Manager of the Engineered Fabrics Division.
