    Wall of Honor Level:
    Air and Space Friend

    Honored by:
    Mr. Chris Pokorski

My father enlisted in the Army Air Corps during WWII. He was a sergeant in the 421st Night Fighter Squadron which flew the P-61. He was an enlisted air crewman, as well as a radio operator and mechanic. He earned five bronze stars in various Pacific campaigns as well as a Good Conduct ribbon, Distinguished Unit badge and WWII Victory ribbon. He also was a marksman with the 45 pistol and carbine.
My father was honorably discharged at the War’s end. I have his wings, I.D. bracelet and dog tags. My father died in 1971 from a heart problem when I was 7 years old. Both he and my uncle, Zennon, who was a private pilot, inspired me to become a pilot, aerospace engineer and to have a love of aviation.
