    Graduated from all civilian pilot training courses offered for college students and was a civilian flight instructor for U. S. Army Air Corps primary and basic schools through December 1943.

    Enlisted in the Army Air Corps for cadet pilot training, and was graduated with a commission in December 1944. Went through B-17 Flying Fortress crew training until October 1945, and was discharged into the reserves.

    Worked as a civilian flight instructor for G.I. flight training programs until September 1948. Served in the Air Force Reserve in a B-25 Mitchell unit until April 1951 when my military pilot activity ended.

    Continued civilian pilot and aircraft interest with membership in the Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association, the Experimental Aircraft Association, and the Confederate Air Force. My entire aviation history (1940-1992) has been audio-taped and submitted to the American Airpower Heritage Museum archives in Midland, Texas. I held Federal Aviation Administration pilot certificate #105923.
