    Eleanor was born in Los Angeles, CA on October 8, 1929 and learned to fly in 1974 at Orange County Airport in Santa Ana, CA. , which was later renamed John Wayne Airport (JWA/SNA).

    In 1977 she flew in the Powder Puff Derby Commemorative Flight from Palm Springs, CA to Tampa, FL.

    In 1979 she flew in the First Annual All Woman Baja California Air Race from Long Beach, CA to La Paz, Baja California, Mexico.

    In 1982 she was honored as Woman Pilot of the Year by the Southwest Section of the Ninety-Nines, Inc., the Southwest Section being comprised of five western states, including Hawaii (see attached photo, Eleanor with trophy).

    In 1990 she became a volunteer for the County of Orange with their tour guide program at John Wayne Airport.

    In 1999 she was honored by the Orange County Board of Supervisors for her work and dedication to the tour program at the airport.

    Eleanor is a current member of The Ninety-Nines, Inc. (99s); International Women in Aviation (IWIA); Experimental Aircraft Association (EAA); Aircraft Owners and Pilots Association (AOPA).

    Eleanor currently holds a Commercial certificate, Certified Flight Instructor certificate, Instrument Flight Rules rating and 2nd Class Medical.

    She owns a Piper Warrior (PA 28-151) and flies out of JWA/SNA.
