Elliott "Chuck" Cohen was a flight engineer during WWII in the Army Air Corps. He was stationed in England as flight crew for B-17s.
After the war he returned to finish college, get married and have a daughter, as well as continuing his interest in aviation.
Although he started working towards a private pilot certificate, he never accomplished it. His daughter continued his dream, receiving the PSEL (using his original log book) and working for NSAS in both manned and unmanned space programs.
