    EMILE BERLINER 1851-1929. Best noted for the invention of the disk talking machine record produced by the Gramophone Co, later the Victor Talking Machine Co and the inventor of the "loose contact" microphone, later version of which was used by ATT and other telephone companies. He was also involved in aviation. During early days of aviation built the "Gyro" rotary aircraft engine, one of which was used by Lincoln Beachy. Also started helicopter experiments which his son Henry later developed in to the first controllable helicopter during the mid 20s.
