TO EMMETTE E. CRAVER
Major Emmette E. Craver distinguished himself by extraordinary achievement while participating in aerial flight as an F-4D Aircraft Commander near Attopeu, Laos on 21 September 1971. On that date, Major Craver led a flight of four fighter aircraft in attacking a hostile supply area and truck park. Despite encroaching darkness, multiple cloud layers and heavy antiaircraft fire throughout the strike, Major Craver's highly accurate bombing caused three large secondary explosions, destroyed one truck and one antiaircraft site, and silenced another. The professional competence, aerial skill, and devotion to duty displayed by Major Craver reflect great credit upon himself and the United States Air Force.
