Born Feb. 2, 1934 in Barnesville, MN to Ulrich and Marie Wagner.
Studied engineering at St. John’s Univ; Collegeville, MN.
Enlisted in the U.S. Navy on April 22, 1954.
Received flight training and his wings at Pensacola, Florida. Solo’d in SNJ “Texan”.
Received jet and carrier training at Kingsville, TX.
Died in crash of his jet on San Nicolas Island, California on May 6, 1956. Arnold gave his life for his country doing what he most enjoyed, flying.
