Born Feb. 22, 1926. Veteran of U.S. Navy (1-44 to 5-460. Received Private pilot’s license April 1948. Grumman Aerospace Retiree (45 years); assembler and riveter; engine buildup and installer; Flying Crew Chief on production test flights; quality control inspector on aircraft and the Apollo Lunar Module. Member of Grumman Retirees aircraft restoration team (13 years); Long Island Early Fliers Club; Bayport Aerodrome Society; Central Park Historical society of Bethpage, NY; Volunteer at the Cradle of Aviation Museum, Garden City, NY. Worked as an aircraft restorer-mechanic and docent in the Apollo Program Moon Landing Exhibit.
