Gene operated a flight school and fixed base operation a Meyers Airpark, Carthage, MO. He was a Certified Flight Instructor and FAA Designated Pilot Examiner. He formed the Aviation Department for Leggett and Platt Incorporated retiring as Chief Pilot in 1996.
