Left high school to enter World War II as an aircraft mechanic in the US Navy. While in the Navy he worked on FG-1, FH-1, FM-2F6F-5, F8F-1, F9F-6, PBY -5A, PT-23, R4D/C-47, Sb2C-4, SNB-3, SNJ-5/6 and TBM-3. In 2956 he transferred to service in the U. S, Air Force as an E-8 and began a civilian aviation career working on Beech, Cessna, Fairchild, Falcon, Lake, Learjet, Luscombe, Piper, Seabee, Stearman, and Stinson. Aircraft. In his retirement years he works at the Pima Co. Air Museum in the winter and even spent some time at the Texas Air Museum on a Folke Wolf FW190A.
