Eugene Dailey served in Naval Aviation from 1951 until 1955. During his period of service he was assigned to various aircraft to do a multitude of functions. His last assignment was serving as a second mechanic on a VIP Aircraft providing transportation for congressional and military personnel.
Upon leaving the service he embarked on very distinguished career with Delta Airlines as a mechanic that lasted 35 years.
