Received his wings at Midland Field, Texas. Received training at N.C. State College, Maxwell Field, had high altitude bombing at Casper, Wyoming and radar bombing at Langley Field, before going overseas.
Attached to the 63rd Bombing Squadron of the Fifth AAF at Clark Field, Manila. June 12, 1945 was on a reconnaissance combat mission to Shanghai when the plane, B24, crashed in the Yangtee River.
