Mrs. Florence E Wilkins was born in 1916 in Chicago. Her mother was an immigrant from Poland. In the 1930s she fell in love with and married Andy Daniel Wilkins. After World War II Florence and Andy owned and flew nine different aircraft over thirty years. Florence was Andy's right seater, navigator, loadmaster, and flying conscience who kept them out of trouble on trips all across the United States, Canada, Bahamas and Mexico.

Florence loved to fly and so did their terrier, Nicki and two generations of English Springer Spaniels. They made quite a scene at the airport when Florence and Andy would disembark from the airplane after arriving with their canine companions.

I nominate Florence E Wilkins name to be placed on the National Aviation and Space Exploration Wall of Honor. She would be thrilled!
