    Wall of Honor Level:
    Air and Space Friend

    Honored by:
    Ms. Donna Bubb

Dan Bubb has been in love with aviation since childhood, waving at the big commercial jets flying low over our backyard en route to San Francisco International Airport. He began flying lessons in high school, got the Associate of Arts degree in aviation, taught ground school at college, became a certified flight instructor, a flight officer, and an airline pilot instructor.

He joined the National Association of Flight Instructors, the Airline Pilots Association, Airline Owners and Pilots Association, and the Federal Aviation Administration air safety wings program.

Recently he has tried his hand at aviation history. In the summer of 2002 Dan wrote his Master of Arts' thesis on U.S. history at the University of Nevada at Las Vegas on commercial air travel and tourism from 1959 to 2001 in Las Vegas. The Nevada Historical Society Quarterly published two of his research papers: one on the Hacienda Airlines, an early junket for coach class passengers, and the other, a comparison of McCarran International in Las Vegas and Phoenix's Sky harbor International Airport.

Wall of Honor profiles are provided by the honoree or the donor who added their name to the Wall of Honor. The Museum cannot validate all facts contained in the profiles.
