    Honored by:
    Mrs. Norman E. Hosie

My husband, Norman E. Hosie, died September 15, 2000 in Lexington, Kentucky and was born in Paterson, NJ, 7 June 1922.
Some family members and friends decided to honor him by contributing to The National Aviation and Space Exploration Wall of Honor to be erected under the auspices of the Smithsonian Institution at Dulles National Airport, Washington, DC.
He served in the US Army & US Air Corp during World War II. He was a B-24 pilot/co-pilot serving with the 15th Air Force participating in the European African Middle Eastern Campaign in North Africa and Italy. He is the recipient of the Air Medal, three Bronze Stars and two Oak Leaf Clusters. I believe he flew 17 missions.
He returned to the US after Germany surrendered and was training on B-29s at the time of the Japanese surrender. He received his separation from service at Fort Dix, NJ.

Wall of Honor profiles are provided by the honoree or the donor who added their name to the Wall of Honor. The Museum cannot validate all facts contained in the profiles.
