    Frank enlisted in the U. S. Navy on January 2, 1942 and was sent to Great Lakes for basic training. He was then sent to Dallas /Ft. Worth Naval Air Station for a year and a half. He then was set to CASU 66 (Carrier Aircraft Service Unit) stationed in the Admiralty Islands for the remainder of the war. There he repaired planes brought from the carriers for major repair. He was discharged from Camp Pendleton September 1945. He went to school to get his A&E license and then was employed for 35 years by Northwest Airlines as an engine mechanic repairing 747 engines.
