    Honored by:

    Frank L. Frisbie devoted a lifetime of service to the people of the United States and users of air traffic control systems around the world. He was a Senior Executive in the U.S. Department of Defense and at the Federal Aviation Administration and later served in senior positions in the aviation related industry. He is a holder of the Air Traffic Control Association's highest honor - the Glen A. Gilbert Memorial Award - for his outstanding, long-term achievements in the field of aviation and aviation safety. At FAA he served with distinction under Vice Admiral Donald Engen for whom the Control Tower at this facility is named. He is world renowned as an expert in the science and procedures associated with aircraft navigation and all-weather precision landing.
