Ms. Susan Halfen

Mr. Halfen served as design engineer and project manager at Grumman Aerospace for 29 years (1965-1994). He markedly contributed to the Apollo Program Lunar Module, the Space Shuttle, the F-14 Navy Aircraft, the X-29 Forward Swept Wing Aircraft, and the BEAR Rocket Beam Experiment for D.O.E. As a project leader for the LAVI aircraft wing and tail development, he headed a team of 60 engineers and draftsmen. He received an M.S. in applied mechanics and a B.S. in aerospace engineering and feels compelled to acknowledge the following persons who enabled his career: his parents, his wife Sue, his children, Stu, Mitch and Lisa, and Ms. R. Mueller for generous support toward his education.
