    Born in North Dakota in 1921 and grew up and attended schools in Minnesota. Served in the military WWII and Korean War as Aircraft Maintenance Officer, B-29 Flight Engineer Instructor, & R&D Officer attaining the rank of Lt.Col, USAFR. Awarded Bachelor (1946), Master (1947) Degrees in Aero Engineering from University of Minnesota and S.M. Ind. Mgmt (1959) from MIT.
    Employed as Research Scientist (1947-55) at UMN & USAF Wright Field, Tech Dir at AFFTC Edwards AFB (1955-58), Dep Asst Secy AFR&D Req, Plans, & Prog (1959-1967 and 1970-1978), NATO Dir of AGARD (1967-1970), Senior Marketing Manager Thiokol Corp (1978-1987), and retiring from full time employment 1987.
    Associate Fellow AIAA 1947, Fellow Washington Academy Sc 1960, Sr. Mbr ARS 1956 and Sloan Fellow 1958 MIT. Served in numerous Committees & Task Forces on many Aerospace topics National & International, during career.
