    Entered service in December 1942. Graduated from Army Air Force flying school in August 1944. Entered World War II as a B-24 pilot. During 2 years occupation duty in Japan, trained as a P-51 pilot. Spent 3 years as a P-51 pilot and instructor. Flew a combat tour in Korea in F-51s.
    Became an interceptor pilot in F-80, F-84, F-86, F-94, and F-104 aircraft. Flew a combat tour in Vietnam in F-4Cs. Served as Chief of Maintenance in F-104s and F-4Cs as well as in support aircraft organization.
    Retired after 30 years in the Air Force. Am a member of several Fighter Associations including the F-86 Sabre Pilots Association and the Red River Valley Fighter Pilots Association.
