    Frederick Corey was born in Beckley, West Virginia. During WWII he was in the Army Signal Corps amphibious forces in the Pacific Theater. After WWII he married Dorothy Stauff of Mount Lebanon, Pennsylvania. Mr. Corey completed his B.S. degree in Electrical Engineering at Carnegie Mellon University. He was recalled to service in the Korean War and became an Army Aviator in the Army Signal Corps. He completed his Masters Degree in Electrical Engineering at Southern Methodist University.
    His civilian career was in the Aerospace Industry. He worked for Chance Vought Aircraft, Northrop Corporation, North American Aviation and RCA in electronic design for aircraft, missiles and spacecraft. During his career he held several positions as Chief Engineer, Program Manager and Vice President. Aircraft that he worked on were F-111D, F-5, F-20, YF-17 fighters and B-2 bomber. Missiles included Regulus, Snark and Skybolt. Spacecraft included Ranger and Mariner.
    Mr. Corey retired in December 1988 but consulted to aerospace companies in the U.S. and internationally.
