Frederick C. Herzner, Chief Engineer, GE Aircraft Engines, is a commercial and instrument rated pilot with a distinguished career in aviation. At GE Aircraft Engines, a world leader in jet propulsion, Mr. Herzner participated in the development of engines both for the nation's defense and for safe, affordable transportation for passengers around the world. As Chief Engineer, he was responsible for airworthiness, certification and product safety. He also gave his time and talent to aviation organizations such as the Aerospace Industries Association of America and the Society of Automotive Engineers, as well as numerous charitable organizations.
