    Honored by:
    Valentina Crispi

Mr. Gaetano Crispi was born in S.Maria di Licodia, a town under Catania, Sicily, on February 11th 1961. He is married to Agostina Visentin, and together they have two daughters, Valentina and Francesca.

He has spent most of his life on the road working shifts as a “carabiniere” (a type of Italian military police force), ultimately reaching the rank of “brigadiere capo” (chief brigadier). He is now living happily as a retiree.
Aviation has always been his passion, and becoming a pilot his dream. Although life didn’t allow him to make all of it come true, he has achieved personal goals: on his own, he managed to study principles of aviation using resources such as books and flight simulation programs on computer. Moreover, in 2002, he was lucky enough to win a contest offered by the Alitalia Skymaster Flying School of Alghero. The prize included a session in a flight simulator used by the students of the flight school. He was also given the chance to personally pilot an airplane owned by the school for a short route (specifically Alghero-Cagliari).

He is feeling honored to be mentioned in the Wall of Honor, as a last achievement to a life spent, as he personally says, with his “head in the clouds, but his feet firmly set on the ground”.

Wall of Honor profiles are provided by the honoree or the donor who added their name to the Wall of Honor. The Museum cannot validate all facts contained in the profiles.
