Gary loved to fly. He was the best natural pilot it has been my pleasure to fly with. Gary was not only a great pilot, he was a great warbird pilot. He flew with the “Tora Tora” Squadron of the Commemorative Air force. Gary thrilled, entertained, and taught an appreciation for Aviation history to tens of thousands of young Americans over the years. Because Gary loved flying so, and because he had a deep appreciation of the privilege of flying warbirds, he was constantly giving this wonderful experience of flying back to everyone that he could. Gary got a lot out of aviation but he gave back much, much more. Cancer took this gentleman from us much too early.
