Gary is a champion of science and a dedicated husband, father, and grandfather. He was fascinated by science and interested in space since he was very young. Unable to pursue his passion through traditional post-secondary education, he explored his interest in science, space, and aeronautics through his library card. He spent most of his time working 70+ hour weeks supporting his family. When not working, he was with his wife, Mary, and children, joining them in all their activities. Any free time he had aside from family and work, he read. He supported and continues to support science, space, and aeronautics by inspiring and instilling a quest for knowledge in his children and grandchildren. His involvement and day-to-day conversations about science led to a passion for science in his children who pursued numerous degrees and contribute to the field in a multitude of avenues. Degrees not possible without the dedication, love, and hard work by Gary and Mary. Today, Gary is retired, enjoys spending time with his wife and grandchildren, and continues to explore and support science with his library card.
