    Air and Space Friend

    Honored by:
    Mr. George Dodge

Gene has been an aviation "nut" since his Navy days in WWII. After the war, he got into the aerospace world as did many others. Back then it was the aircraft world but he evolved with it into the space world of Rockwell International at the Rocketdyne Division in California. They have built many rocket engines over the years with the culmination of the Space Shuttle's main engines. Gene spent many hours on the Program in the Marketing and Graphics sector before retiring in the 90's. His time spent on the "Hill" (the nickname for the rocket testing area in the Santa Monica Mountains) did not leave him "glowing" in the dark as many people were lead to believe.
During his career in aerospace he has done many paintings and built many models of aircraft and spacecraft from before WWII up through the Shuttle. He still follows the Shuttle Program closely due to his great interest in rocket as well as aircraft development.
Gene is one of the true Aircraft & Space "Nuts".
