    He was trained to fly by the US Air Force during the Vietnam War. He flew for the Pennsylvania Air National Guard -- Willow Grove. Recently, as architect and planner for the National Capital Planning Commission (NCPC), he was involved in the planning and design review of the Udvar-Hazy Center building and site.

    His father, George C. Toop, was a pilot for Howard Hughes during World War II (WWII) and then for TWA until his retirement. His father's name is already listed on the Wall of Honor.

    George Cole Toop, Jr has been involved with flight his entire life.
