Recall to active Naval Service was “deferred”so he could complete the Navy contract as the Final Inspector for the SBD Douglas dive bomber manufacture and procurement program. Afterwards, he served as an Aviation Storekeeper aboard the Jeep Aircraft Carrier, USS Kwajalein – CVE 98, in support of the SBD aircraft and parts replenishment for the main attacking Aircraft Carriers in the Pacific Fleet for the duration of WWII.
