Employed 1949 to 1980 at Ames Research Center (NACA and NASA) Moffett Field, CA. Conducted research in high speed wind tunnels, effects of space environment on reflective materials. The last 18 years was Integration and Test Manager for Pioneer 6, 7, 8 & 9 and interplanetary spacecraft Pioneer 10 and 11 to Jupiter and Pioneer 12 and 13 to Venus. Pioneer 10 was the first space craft to escape the solar system.
