Honored by:

George was a tail gunner in a B-29. He enlisted in the Army Air Corps as an aviation cadet. The cadet program was abolished and George became a gunner. He flew 26 missions bombing Japan. He was in the 20th Air Force, 58th Bomb Wing, 462nd Bomb Group, and 768th Bomb Squadron.
