    1915-1989. Taught to fly by Charlie McAllester in Yakima Washington in 1935. Became Flight Instructor. Went to work for Pan American World Airways in 1939 flying in Alaska. During WWII flew under U. S. Navy contract for Air Transport Command based in Seattle and later in New York. Transferred back to Seattle in 1950 and to San Francisco in 1956. Flew Ford Tri-Motor, DC-3 Flying Boat, DC-4, DC-6, Constellation, Boeing Stratocruiser, DC-7. Was the first Pan Am pilot to checkout as a 707 co-pilot. Retired Pan Am 1975 after many years flying Pacific routes from San Francisco as a 707 Captain.
