Mr. Patrick Cullen
Gerald F. Cullen was a Flight Officer in the Army during World War II. He was a C-47 pilot who "Flew the Hump" in the China, Burma, India Theater. Following the war he was a pilot in the Air Force Reserve at Niagara Falls Air Force Base. He flew numerous propeller driven and jet propelled trainers and fighters, as well as troop carriers such as the C-119 Flying Boxcar. Mr. Cullen retired from the Air Force Reserve as a major. Mr. Cullen worked as a DC-3 pilot for the Federal Aviation Administration in Columbus, Ohio and Atlantic City, New Jersey. He also served as an FAA Safety Specialist in Rochester, New York. Mr. Cullen retired from the FAA after accumulating 33 years of government service. Upon his retirement, Mr. Cullen worked as an FAA Examiner in St. Petersburg, Florida, administering flight tests to student pilots as well as advanced ratings for more experienced pilots.
