I?€™m proud that you grew up during the great depression and WWII, giving you a deep appreciation for what is really important in life. I'm proud that you served in the US Navy as a radar operator in Squadron VP-22 during the Korean War. I?€™m proud that you fired steam engines for the Union Pacific Railroad. I?€™m proud of the fact that you worked your way through college, and of your career with Mutual of Omaha where you worked hard to provide a better life for our family. I?€™m thankful for your faith, your wonderful sense of humor, your integrity, and your love.

I am also thankful that you instilled in me, a love of everything aviation.
