Born in 1918 Dad grew up farming in West KY during the depression. He was a happy-go-lucky young man but WWII broke out. Leaving mom and I behind he was trained as an Army Paratrooper and Infantryman before being sent to North Africa to fight Rommel. There he contracted tuberculosis and spent many months in VA hospitals before coming home. During his lifetime he fought the consequences of war and mostly won those battles with the Lords help but passed on way too early in 1977 of a heart attack.
