    Air and Space Friend

    Honored by:

Glenn Bryan, Sr. became aware of aviation as a small boy when Charles Lindberg flew the Atlantic. He lived on a farm-ranch in western Montana, north of Yellowstone National Park. He received his first flight instruction the day he graduated from the eighth grade. He became a trainee in the first Civil Pilot Training Program in the Rocky Mountain area.

When Pearl Harbor was attacked, he went south to Texas as a flight instructor for Army pilots. After a year of instructing he went to work for Pan American Airways as a pilot based in Brownsville, Texas, then later in Miami, Florida, and New York City. It was a beautiful experience.
