Glenn Krauth then moved on to Transition Training for B-24's at Maxwell Field, Arkansas where he checked out as First Pilot. He married the former Mary Ann Dusch in the later part of 1944 and then finished B-29 training at Maxwell Field. In early 1945 he moved to Kirtland Air Force Base in Albuquerque, New Mexico where he began additional Transition B-29 Training, in preparation for eventual deployment to the Pacific. It was here that he was checked out as co-pilot in B-29's. In late 1945 he left the service, but remained in New Mexico where he began raising his family, attended the University of New Mexico, and later became a successful architect.
