The Golden Komotion Hydroplane was the first unlimited hydroplane built with an airplane turbine engine in 1967. The turbine engine is an Allison T40. The Allison T40 was used in Navy experimental aircraft such as the:

Convair XFY-1 Pogo
Lockheed XFV-1 Pogo
Douglas XA2D-1 Skyshark
Convair R3Y & P5Y Tradewind
Republic XF-84H.
