Greg Eames was killed Easter Sunday 2006 in the crash of his Piper Cherokee. Greg was an avid aviation enthusiast. An Adjunct Professor at Wilmington College, Greg taught numerous aviation-related courses. He was an Aviation Badge mentor for Boy Scouts of America. While serving in the military, Greg was a C-5 Galaxy Loadmaster and took part in numerous humanitarian relief operations. After separating from the military, Greg opened his own computer consulting firm. He recently purchased his airplane so he could commute to and from work and spend more time with his family. Tragically, he experienced catastrophic engine failure shortly after takeoff. His heroic actions avoided a residential area and saved the life of his son Jason who was with him in the crash. Greg was 48 years old.
