    Following his early experiences as a pilot, he focused his career on the aerospace industry, where in the early years, as an employee of Ball Aerospace Corporation, he was one of several employees responsible for the Launch Operations preparation and supervision for four Solar Orbiting Observatory Satellites at Cape Kennedy. These satellites were built by Ball Aerospace Corporation for NASA. In July of 1970, he was appointed to the NASA Skylab Program where he held the position of Mission Control Officer for the ATM Section of the Skylab and was a member of the Skylab Astronaut Training Team at Houston's Johnson Space Center. After his aerospace career, he received his MBA degree in Business Administration and International Finance from the University of Denver. Following receipt of his MBA, he became involved in several international business development programs involving several different economic sectors world-wide.
