    Harry J. Rose worked for the U.S. Geological Survey. He was the Principal Investigator in the Lunar Analysis Program, analyzing over 125 samples of materials returned from the moon during the Apollo Space Program. He was also a member of the Inorganic Analysis Team in the Martian Viking Program, which worked on the design of an X-Ray Spectrometer that landed on the Martian surface and analyzed the soil. His studies resulted in some 90 published papers.
