Graduate of University of Minnesota. U.S. Air Force. Held numerous patents in extensometry (instrumentation for testing materials used in aerospace field). Founder of Gull Engineering, Minnesota Soaring Club and Stanton Sport Aviation. He was an active sailplane pilot with several record flights. Aviation was a lifetime interest, starting with model airplanes and building a glider he designed and flew as a teenager. Born 10/28/27. Died 1/9/2000.
