Henry Haigh won the World Aerobatic Men’s Championship at Red Deer, Canada in 1988, as a member of the United States Aerobatic Team. He is the 3rd and only living man to achieve this accomplishment in this country.
He was a member of the team each year from 1976 until he retired after the 1990 contest. Before winning, he finished in 2nd place on 2 occasions and won 17 gold, silver and bronze medals in world competition. He developed the “Super” Pitts and built the “Superstar”, in which he won the championship.
